HiRes (2)The United States International Trade Commission (“ITC”) is an independent, quasi-judicial Federal agency with investigative responsibilities on matters of trade.   Among other things, the ITC adjudicates cases involving imports that allegedly infringe intellectual property rights.  However, a highly-anticipated decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit eliminates the ITC’s ability to regulate infringements involving digital data, even in cases when it results in a manufactured product, such as through 3D printing.
